Tiled roofs traditionally have a cement infill at the edges of the roof. This tiled edge is vulnerable to weathering which can cause cracks leading to the cement dropping out and the tiles becoming insecure, particularly in bad weather or high winds.
A 'dry verge' will hold your tiles in place ensuring a neat, weatherproof, maintenance free and secure finish to your roof.
'Dry ridge' is a method of fixing ridge tiles or hip ridge tiles to a roof without the use of a sand and cement mortar. It uses a dry fix system to attach clamps between the joints of every ridge tile, fixing them securely to the roof.
More durable than mortar and tile, they are maintenance free, provide discreet ventilation of the roof and are not affected by movement of the roof through vibration or expansion and contraction. They are now a building control requirement on all new roofs.
